Welcome to Cochran K9 Training! I appreciate you! If you are struggling with your dog, I would love to help! My goal is to give you and your dog the best possible life together. My Story: I have always had a passion for dogs. Growing up my family always had dogs in the house and at social setting if there was a dog present I would find myself gravitating towards them at some point. After college I moved home and was looking for jobs in Pittsburgh, PA to chase my now wife, Jillian Cochran. Prior to moving I was teaching my families old dogs new tricks (yes that is possible!). After moving to Pittsburgh and working in sales for a few years my wife and I finally got our first dog Dwight, an Australian Shepherd. We showered him with love and affection and did all the things I say not to do now! That did not go well because he had all the unwanted behaviors out there: leash pulling, barking, whining, resource guarding, just overall a mess. It got to the point that my wife did not want to walk him anymore. I knew he needed trained. I started researching and came across Balanced Dog Training. I quickly fell in love with it. After months of training Dwight was so well behaved that people were complementing him left and right, then they started asking for help. I reached out to family and friends to train their dogs and quickly the dominos started to fall. We now have another Australian Shepherd (same mom and dad as Dwight) her name is Noodle. When the thought of starting my own dog training business came about I took a week off of work and shadowed Julie’s K9 Academy in West Virginia. I learned so much and developed my own board & train program and a vision for my business! Best decision I have ever made!
